About Our Guest Speaker

Stefan Mann is a member of Germany Yearly Meeting, living in Konstanz, whose profession as an agricultural socioeconomist takes him across the border into nearby Switzerland. His work, together with his family background, his upbringing, his experiences as a father of three children, his Quaker activities, and his involvement in the German Friends’ aid and development organisation Quäkerhilfe, all combine to give him a wealth of experience in questions of privilege, hierarchy, and inequality.

Stefan's talk and his questions for discussion will encourage us to consider where each of us stands in relation to our testimony to equality. This question has both a personal and a political dimension, each of which will be touched upon during the weekend.
